Natali Del Conte: Microsoft Surface and The Today Show. Yes, Again.

Wow nice video on the Surface. That is a really great use for that especially with showing the coverage maps and being able to zoom in on those. Good luck on the Today show tomorrow. You will be awesome. Hopefully they will not cut you short tomorrow and you will get more screen time. 2 times in 1 week on the Today Show. You really have come a long ways from the beginnings of Textra. Keep up the great work.

You looked fine Natalie and you did a good job, given the little that you had to work with. Good luck on Friday.

Never guessed that ATT would be the first to use it, but their use is practical! I have a feeling we'll relatively quick uptake from other companies for the surface now. BTW loaded podcast is looking a lot better!

MS Surface. Nice! I think gesture and touch is probably the next evolution from the mouse and pointer. By the way everyone's scrambling to create more touch-interface devices, it sure looks that way.

Be great to have a table from where you could read your newspaper, watch TV, and have breakfast too. Unfortunately, unlike the iPhone, I can't clean the finger smudges off the table by wiping it on my pants leg.

You're doing great, Natali. You got to meet and interact with Matt Lauer. Very cool. You're a TV celebrity!

Great segment on the Today Show. Very helpful, especially that openID site. Sorry it's so short, I have to run to work.

    Take Care,
    Tim

Your segment today actually caught me by surprise. I had no idea you were supposed to be tv at all. I was tuned in trying to get news about the earthquake that rocked me out of my bed in the middle of the night. You did a good job though and your tips were pretty good.

While I don't have a home page set up, I do have all the news sites' rss feeds bookmarked to the bookmarks toolbar of Firefox and I scroll through them whenever I get on the net.

You looked great on the Today Show! (At least you didn't stutter as much as that other guy, :)

Microsoft Surface - at first seems like another idea Microsoft has taken from another company (like Apple), and run with it. Yet I believe I've seen Surface from some keynote address Gates did a long time ago ... Maybe even before the iPhone? Not sure, but when you look at Surface, you can't help but think about the already prevalent iPhone, and it's touch-screen capabilities. Most people will look back and remember that the iPhone, not Surface, introduced the next generation intuitive touch screen input for all tech gadgetry to follow. Regardless, Microsoft can spring broad off of this by developing Surface libraries into their .NET API, and take these capabilities to many different flavors of the Windows platform. Not sure about the hardware requirements for this technology, but it will be interesting to see if it takes off.

(Disclosure) This perspective brought to you by your friendly mid-western .NET/Java developer Dave.

By the way, you look great all the time (for real), and present yourself well in everything I've seen you do (Including the Today Show .. and 'Loaded', and the CrankGeeks appearance, where I discovered your talents !!). Keep up the good work.
